Finish the daily and the five made-up horses line up for a race. Every one you spotted correctly pays $10 into your account.
You can then back the runners. Each has hidden ratings you never see — the price is your only read, same as at a real track.
Put a stake against as many of them as you like: back the favourite and keep something on a longshot, or go all-in on one. Only one horse can win, so only one line ever pays — hedging buys you a better chance of collecting something, at the cost of what you collect. The book is over-round, so covering the whole field always loses. One slip a day, and your balance carries over.
